For my first blog, I wanted to share a memoir given to me by someone who was touched by the Lord. That person wrote this as a representation of what God would say to us:
“Remember me when you wake.
Remember me when you sleep.
Remember me when you are happy.
Remember me when you are depressed.
Remember me always, so I will always be first in your life.
Call on me when you are in need for I am your Father, your mother, your brother, and your sister.
I am mighty; I am strong – to not only carry you but all of you.”
Every time I read this, I am humbled. I am reminded again to keep God first in my life just because He loves me.
He is the anchor for my soul! – Hebrews 6:19
We’re all given guidance in how you could do something, but nothing makes it more interesting than to take something and make it your own.
The Mr. and I attended our first Paint Night event on Valentine’s Day. We were to recreate a large painting on two separate canvases. He would paint one half of the painting and I, the other half.
It was actually more challenging than it sounded. Here we have two very different individuals, trying to recreate one whole image, on separate canvases.
I remember becoming worried because not only did our paintings started looking very different from the original painting but our paintings started to look different from each other’s. I remember saying to him “I don’t think we’re doing it right. It doesn’t look like what it’s suppose to.”
As the night went on, we diligently worked on both our canvases together to get both our paintings just perfect.
In the end, we created together something that we felt was even more beautiful than the original.
And just like our Love Story, we started out as separate blank canvases and now have become one beautiful image together.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged; for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
Earlier this month I celebrated my 34th birthday.
I had a terrible dream the night before my birthday where I was in a situation and felt there was NO WAY anyone could help or save me.
Of course I was wrong. God is with us wherever we are. It was He who was able to save and help me.
Although it’s taken a tremendous amount of time for me to realize it, I see now He has always and still is with me now, even in my dreams!
